Grimm Krupa Announces $85,000 Grant for Fayette County CTI
June 2, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Charity Grimm Krupa (R-Fayette) announced today the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has awarded the Fayette County Career and Technical Institute an $85,000 competitive equipment grant. This grant is for school districts and career and technical centers with eight or more PDE-approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Funds are used for updating or purchasing new equipment used in the training of students.
“Funding CTE is essential because it prepares students with the real-world skills needed for high-demand careers, strengthens the workforce and supports local economic growth” Grimm Krupa said. “By investing in CTE, we give students meaningful pathways to success – whether they choose to enter the workforce, pursue apprenticeships or continue their education – while ensuring employers have access to well-trained, job ready talent.”
There are more than 80 Career and Technical Centers across Pennsylvania, and even more CTE programs offered in high schools in many of Pennsylvania’s 500 public school districts, providing PDE-approved programs to thousands of students each school year.
